Yes — posting a job and receiving quotes costs nothing. You only pay a 20% upfront payment when you select a provider, and the remaining 80% after you approve the completed work. No hidden fees.

Every provider goes through ID verification, professional credentials check, and work history review before they can accept jobs. After each completed job, customers leave ratings and reviews — so you always know exactly who you're hiring.

Before paying the remaining 80%, you can review the provider's completion notes and any before/after evidence in the approval flow. If there is a material issue, raise it before paying wherever possible and use the Platform's dispute process. Paying the final amount normally means you approve the work as completed, and any workmanship issues must then be handled directly with the provider, subject to your statutory rights.

Joining Urbanfix is completely free. There are no monthly subscriptions or upfront fees. A small service fee applies only when a job is successfully completed and payment is released — you only pay when you earn.

Payment is released to the provider after the customer reviews and approves the completed work and the transaction clears a short processing and safety review period. If a dispute or payment issue is raised before approval, payout can be delayed while it is reviewed.

With "Book now" you reserve a standard service at a fixed price — your card is only authorised, and you're charged only once you approve the completed work. With "Get quotes" you describe the job and verified pros send competitive bids you compare side by side. This is not an escrow account — payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Joining is free — no monthly fees. New providers start with a free trial period: your first jobs carry no Urbanfix service fee, so you keep your full earnings at the start. After that, a small service fee applies only on successfully completed jobs.

From your description and (if added) a photo, our AI assesses the type of work, its severity and complexity and helps set a more accurate price. When it's confident enough and the job is in Vilnius, you can book instantly within a fixed price range (e.g. €120–160); the pro confirms the final figure. Otherwise you'll get quotes from pros.

Instant booking with a price up front is currently available in Vilnius and only when the system is confident enough about the photo assessment. Otherwise you describe the job and pros send quotes.
